[PEPLUM POWER] Peplum trimmed dresses were ~the~ big trend at last night’s Met Gala.

Solange Knowles looked divine in a yellow strapless Rachel Roy number

Amy Poehler looked uber-glam in Fotini

January Jones looked possibly the best I’ve ever seen her in this interesting structural Versace number

Sofia Vergara looked sexy as ever in Marchesa

Eva Mendes sparkled in Prada

And Emma Roberts in trendy yellow, wore Escada.

[FASHION] Oscars red carpet, my top five

How disappointing was this year’s Academy Awards red carpet? I feel like I’m reaching by naming a top five. Tjo! Anyways, here are my picks:

1. Mila Kunis in Elie Saab

She’s been so consistent this awards season! And, even though I’ve gotten used to seeing her in bold colour, the pastel works for her. Very glam and, as usual, great over all styling.

2. Natalie Portman in Rodarte

She looks phenomenal! So radiant!

3. Cate Blanchett in Givenchy

This is a bit of an unorthodox dress, but there’s nothing I don’t like about it. Grecian-ish and the colour looks great on her. I’ve missed classic Cate on the red carpet.

4. Florence Welch in Valentino

Beige can be so blah, but Florence pulls this off so well. So elegant and glam and her hair colour is beautiful.

5. Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa

The young Miss Steinfeld’s also been repping so well on the red carpet. She looked great in the striped Prada at the Golden Globes and she knocks this Marchesa look out of the park. Youthful, yet glam. I wish more starlets could do age appropriate elegance.
