Chanel Iman in Oscar de la Renta.
There’s a great article on Oscar de la Renta over at NY Magazine’s The Cut blog.
I loved what he says here:
My role as a designer is to dress the comfortable woman, to make her feel her best. At times I remember back in the seventies when women’s lib, and women integrating herself in a so-called men’s world. A way to be part of that world is to dress in a pants suit in beige or gray. Today, a woman knows being a woman, feeling like a woman, putting on lipstick, feeling wonderful is very important. The power of her femininity is an important asset. I keep saying this is the century of the woman.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards happened and these are my top red carpet looks.
1. Mila Kunis in McQueen:

Mila’s fast becoming my red carpet favourite - she’s really consistent. I love that her hair and make-up always complement her dress and she seems to be a devoted follower of the less-is-more philosophy when it comes to accessories. She’s my best-dressed. Yes, again.
2. Tina Fey in Oscar de la Renta

Wawaweewa, Miss Liz Lemon! Tina swapped her (now) trademark dark colours for this scintillating number and she looked aaamaaaazing! Her recent red carpet looks have been a bit dicey, so it’s nice to see her amp up the glam. Red was the must-wear colour at the SAG Awards.
3. Mindy Kaling in Tadashi Shoji

Look. At. Her. Curves! Who says ‘bigger’ (and I use this term in the Hollywood sense only. Mindy’s body’s banging, in my opinion) women should only wear darker colours? This is all kinds of flattering and I love the metallic belt.
4. January Jones in Carolina Herrera

I’m not a huge fan of January Jones’s sartorial choices, but I really like this embellished number. It’s so glam and the hair, make-up and (lack of) accessories = perfection.
5. Jane Krakowski in Badgley Mischka

Natalie Portman, I’mma letchu finish, but Jane has the best baby bump swag of all time… All time! (Yes, old, lame joke, but I just had to use it). There’s nothing I don’t love about this… And her hair looks so butterlicious. Yum.
