[FASHION] My former boss, Elle South Africa’s editor, Jackie Burger was also spotted by New York magazine’s photographers looking classic (and classy) in all white everything. This is what she had to say at the launch of the Yayoi Kusama collaboration with Louis Vuitton:

Are you a big fan of Louis Vuitton?

I think what Marc Jacobs has been doing with Vuitton — his creation, his innovation is just unstoppable. And also the Kusama collaboration is something really, really special.

[FASHION] Put down the tabloids and head your browser to New York Magazine’s street style section: that’s where you’ll see Miss Bonang Matheba. The South African It Girl was papped by NY Mag’s street style photographer at Louis Vuitton’s Fifth Avenue flagship store where the Yayoi Kusama collaboration was unveiled. This is what B* had to say:

You look like you own a lot of Louis Vuitton.

[Laughs]I’ve got so much Louis Vuitton it’s insane. I’m wearing Louis Vuitton head to toe.

Kate the Great

Props for Miss Moss! She’s the star of two exhibitions - one in New York and another in Paris. Both collections span the length of Kate’s amazing career. I still love her to bits and definitely see her as the face of the 90s (and not in a bad way).

[BEAUTY SPOT] Top looks from NY Fashion Week

I haven’t really been paying much attention to New York fashion week, been a bit busy with Joburg’s one. Luckily, New York magazine posted a blog about the top beauty looks from the shows and here are my favourite favourites:

Tuxedo nails as seen at the Ruffian show.

Cat’s eyes as seen at Ports 1961 and beehives at Ivana Helsinki.

What a braid! As seen at the Alexandre Herchcovitch show.

Rachel Roy had fabric braided into the models hair.

This looped updo at Luca Luca makes me very envious that I don’t have long hair.
