[MAG FAB] Good day, Grazia
If you didn’t know, now you know. The rumours have been confirmed: Media24 is publishing a South African edition of Grazia, one of the world’s best-loved fashion weeklies.
This will be the 20th global edition of the trendwatchers bible and the first one in Africa! Halala!
In last week’s press release, Liezl de Swardt, Media24 Women’s Interest Division GM (and my boss!),...

[MAG FAB] Blue Ivy's about to be spoiled!
InStyle magazine features Solange in its February edition and asked the musician about becoming an aunt to Blue Ivy Carter:
This may sound awful, but I’m excited to let the baby do whatever it wants, in the same way my sister’s done with my son. I’m going to get her back for all those late-night popcorn sessions and just spoiling my child to no end!

[MAG FAB] Tell 'em, Tay Tay
Miss Taylor Swift’s full interview is now up on Vogue’s website. She talks about being uncool, her life right now and her anxieties about the future.
On being uncool at a young age:
So … middle school? Awkward. Having a hobby that’s different from everyone else’s? Awkward. Singing the national anthem on weekends instead of going to sleepovers? More awkward. Braces? Awkward....

[MAG FAB] Charlize, girl, you're looking hot!
Oh, be still my beating heart.
Charlize, in my opinion the most beautiful woman in Hollywood today, looks sensational on the cover of ELLE France.
Shot by Mark Seliger, she models the hottest Autumn looks by Ferragamo, Dior, Vuitton etc etc etc
Werk!

[MAG FAB] Totally Taylor
Taylor Swift looks super mod on the February 2012 cover of Vogue US (shot by Mario Testino).
Love the straight hair on her. That, plus the absence of her go-to red lip, makes her look really grown up and sophisticated.
Although I don’t quite understand what the criteria for a Vogue cover is anymore, I have to hand it to Tay-Tay for looking gorge.

[RED CARPET] My fave Golden Globe looks
The Golden Globes happened, people won awards (and drank) and Ricky Gervais was funny. But who cares? Lesbihonest, all we wanna do is look at the pretty dresses. Let’s:
Charlize Theron in Dior
A match made in heaven.
Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace
Wow. She usually bores me, but I loved this.
Claire Danes in J Mendel
All the fun’s in the back. Talk about impact.

[MAG FAB] Some kind of wonderful, indeed.
I need to be issued with a late pass: how could I have missed this wonderfulness? Chanel Iman covers the December edition of WSJ magazine looking like … just… I have no words:

[MAG FAB] Dakota, all grown up
I don’t know how to feel about this.
To me, Dakota Fanning is a little girl, yet here she’s all grown up and sexy-fied on the February 2012 cover of ELLE UK.
It’s kind of freaking me out that our ‘style icons’ are getting younger & younger. I’ve got a decade on Dakota, I don’t want to aspire to look like her, thankyouverymuch.
Nonetheless, all the...

[MUSIC] The new school
Rye Rye, Dominique Young Unique and Iggy Azalea. Pic via.
I’m an old & sometimes completely out of touch, but even I’ve noticed a sudden influx of young woman mc’s on the indie/ hipster scene.
As a hip hop lover and feminist, I’m always happy to see more young women entering the male-dominated world of rap superstardom (even though I’m not a fan of every woman...

[MUSIC] 'There are a lot of songs about sex'
… At least that’s what Solo says about her upcoming album.
‘It’s the kind of record you put on when your man is coming over, when you’re with your girls,’ she told V Magazine about the self-funded album. ‘There are songs that make you wanna dance because we were kind of partying our way through the record, but it’s very chill.’
She also says the pop-soul...
